I feel like that title should come with a news ticker sound effect but, I digress.
I was working on my WIP and realized that there are many questions to be answered in the story. It's intended to be the first in a series. So I began a second file to work out the backstory so I can get my characters straight in my head and the backstory TURNED INTO ANOTHER NOVEL.How the hell did I even? I mean, it's a prequel. Or is it technically now Book 1 and my initial story Book 2? Do I release the prequel first? WILL THIS MADNESS EVER STOP? If only straightening out the story was as easy as making covers. Which you folks will never see if I don't get my ass moving. This requires a fresh bottle of whiskey and a lockdown, I fear.

Because eventually, I will run out of things to do that distract me from writing, forcing me to just.. write. Not that I have done nothing. The Holler story is plotted in its entirety, along with the 3 remaining books in the Tribe series. All of their covers are made (my eyes are killing me) and many updates have made it to the website. All that said, here's hoping that you'll all get to see these stories soon. I do plan to post some excerpts as the need takes me, just to keep the juices flowing. Also, because my characters tend to crack me up and who doesn't need a little titter every now and then?

...with bookshelves and everything. It almost feels grown up. Until it came to my attention that my office window is an excellent high ground vantage point to pick off neighborhood cats with a paintball gun and then I had to fight to refocus. Little furry bastards learn to stay away fast and now I have no diversion.. just a pile of notes and a laptop monitor staring back at me. Watching. Judging. I guess I'd better get writing.
